To see all your Kindle books, Audio books or physical books on Amazon.com, you can follow these steps:

1. Login to Amazon.com
2. Go here: https://www.amazon.com/your-books (Here you will see all the books you have ever purchased on Amazon and you can sort them by ebook. Paperback, hardcover, audiobook and genre. You can also search them by keyword or filter them by star rating or format.)

If you want to view all your Kindle books only and then send some of them to a Kindle device then follow these steps:

1. Login to Amazon.com
2. Go here https://www.amazon.com/hz/mycd/digital-console/contentlist/booksAll/dateDsc/

Lastly, another way to view all of your digital content (books, magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, documents, etc.) you can follow these steps

1. Go to Amazon.com: Open a web browser and go to the Amazon website.
2. Sign In to Your Account: Log in to your Amazon account using your email address and password.
3. In the Upper hover on “Accounts & Lists”. A menu should show up, click “Content Library”

• Remove Download: frees up space on your device only. The book stays in your library.
• Permanently Delete: removes the book from your Amazon account entirely.

If your goal is to free up space, you almost always want Remove Download. This is the safe option.

How to Remove Books From Your Kindle

The fastest way to free space is to remove books you are not currently reading. This clears storage without deleting the book from your account.

• Open your Library
• Press and hold a book cover, or tap the three-dot menu
• Tap Remove Download or Remove from Device

The book will be removed from that Kindle, but it should remain in your Amazon account so you can download it again later.

Use Storage Management for a Faster Kindle Cleanup

If you have a lot of content on your Kindle, use the built-in Storage Management tools. This is the easiest way to remove multiple items without going book by book.

• Go to Settings
• Select Device Options
• Select Advanced Options
• Tap Storage Management

You will usually see two cleanup options: Manual Removal and Quick Archive. Menu names can vary a little by Kindle model and software version.

Manual Content Removal

Manual Removal lets you choose exactly which items to remove. This is best if you want full control over what stays on your device.

Quick Archive

Permanent deletion is rarely needed for storage cleanup. It is much more aggressive than removing a download.

Only permanently delete a Kindle book if:

• You never want the book again
• It is a duplicate or unwanted title
• It is a sample you know you do not need
• You are intentionally cleaning up your Amazon account

Otherwise, removing the download is enough. If you are unsure, do not permanently delete it.

Go to Settings, then Storage Management, and check each content type instead of only looking at your book list.

No, not if you use Remove Download or Remove from Device. That only removes the downloaded copy from the Kindle. Your purchased book should remain in your Amazon account. To find it again, go to your Library and switch from Downloaded to All.

Why do removed books still appear in my Kindle Library?

Removed books may still appear because your Kindle Library can show both downloaded books and cloud books. Can Kindle samples take up storage?

Yes. Individual samples are usually small, but they can add up if you download a lot of them and never remove them. Samples are good candidates for cleanup because most users do not need to keep old samples after deciding whether to buy the book.

Does Quick Archive delete my books forever?

No. Quick Archive is meant to remove older downloaded items from the device, not permanently delete them from your Amazon account. It is useful when you want to free space quickly but do not want to manually remove each title. Still, review what it is removing if you want full control.

Why does my Kindle show less available storage than the amount advertised?

A Kindle with 16 GB or 32 GB of advertised storage will not show all of that as available space. Some storage is used by the Kindle operating system, built-in software, indexing, and system files. If none of the four options above work, you might be panicking because the issue might be with your purchase of the book. It might be that you never actually bought the book. So the next thing to do is…

1. Check your Orders: It’s better to perform the following on your desktop computer. Log into your Amazon account and view your purchase history to see if you will see the missing Amazon Kindle book on the list. If it’s on the list, you can retry the four options above again because that will resolve the visibility issue.

If you try option five and get a positive result, meaning the book appears in your purchase history, but it’s not appearing in your Kindle library, then it’s time to contact customer support to let them know about your missing book.

It’s always important to confirm that any newly purchased book appears in your library immediately after purchase. That way, you will have all the details at hand in case you need to contact customer support about a purchased e-book that simply does not appear in your library.

How to link Goodreads with your Kindle

Because Goodreads is owned by Amazon.com, they made it simple to sync your Kindle library with Goodreads. so that everything you have read on your Kindle, and your progress with current reads, will appear on your Goodreads profile.

If you want to connect Goodreads to your Kindle account, here are the steps to take (we assume you already have an account for Goodreads and Kindle):

1. On your Kindle device, tap the Home icon at the top of your screen
2. Then select the Menu button which is the ellipses or three dots on the right-hand side
3. Select Settings
4. My Account
5. Social Networks
6. Select Goodreads
7. Follow the instructions in the dialogue box that will appear on your screen.

Once you have linked your Kindle and Goodreads accounts, the following will happen:

• Your reading progress of your current book will automatically update on Goodreads
• When you post a book review to both Amazon, it will also post to Goodreads

• You’ll get personalized book recommendations from your Goodreads account

3. Locate the Warmth slider where you will see a Schedule: off option. Tap the arrow next to this option to change the warmth settings.
4. Tap Off to turn On the schedule function.
5. You can select Automatic for the warmth to adjust automatically at sunset and sunrise.
6. Select Manual so you can set your own start and end time for a warm display. This option enables you to control the warmth based on your reading schedule. Set a Start at: and End at: time.
7. The final step you should consider is using the slider at the bottom of the screen to determine how warm you’d like your Kindle screen to be when the warm feature is activated.

That is all there is to setting your Kindle to warm light. At the right time, the warmth will be activated so you can enjoy reading without straining your eyes.

Reasons to use Kindle warm light

If you feel like you spend most of your reading time straining your eyes, then you should definitely look into using a warm screen. People strain their eyes while using screens because of three reasons:

1. The environment they are reading from is too dark compared to the screen
2. Their screen brightness is too high
3. Your eyes are sensitive to blue light

Make sure to check both your warmth and brightness settings if you want to have a strain-free reading experience with your Kindle. You might want to also consider the warmth setting if you know that your eyes hurt or strain whenever you are looking at a digital screen. This will help you avoid blue light.

Digital screens produce what is called blue light. Blue light can be more problematic than causing eye strain. Blue light is found to interrupt sleep patterns and it increases the risk of certain cancers. Other issues connected to blue light include dry eye, blurry vision, macular degeneration and retinal damage.

Don’t make reading harder on your eyes than it needs to be. Start using the warm light feature if you have it.

The page has three top-level tabs for navigation:

• Library: This is your virtual bookshelf, neatly organizing all the titles you’ve purchased or borrowed on Kindle and Audible.
• Saved Books: This tab shows you books in your wish list so you can easily keep track of books you wish to read or purchase in the future.
• Notes and Highlights: If you made notes in Kindle books or highlighted passages in them you can find them all here.

Beneath the top-level tabs you’ll find several buttons that help you refine your collection. Those refinements include:

• All titles: Shows all books you have purchased or borrowed.
• Genres: Shows your books broken out by genres.
• Authors: Shows your books broken out by author.
• Series: If your books are part of a series, you can see which books in the series you have here.

Readers and authors often wonder which book format is more popular, print books or ebooks? And which format sells the most? Let’s dive into Amazon’s book sales statistics and trends to gain some insights into recent book sales figures.

1. Amazon is the largest bookseller in the print book market, selling more than 300 million print books annually in the United States and 106 million copies yearly in the UK.

2. According to Wordsrated, Amazon commands 40% of the print book sales in the US and a staggering 50% in the UK.

3. As reported by Wordsrated, projections suggest that by 2025, Amazon could potentially dominate over 70% of the US print book market.

When it comes to ebooks, Amazon’s dominance is even more pronounced. The company sells over 487 million ebooks annually through Kindle, establishing itself as the ebook market leader.

Amazon’s market share in ebook sales stands at least 67%, rising to 83% when considering Kindle Unlimited subscriptions. In the UK, Amazon is estimated to control over 88% of yearly ebook sales.

Does Amazon sell more print books or ebooks

From the numbers above you might conclude that Amazon sells more eBooks than print books. But that’s not technically true. While Amazon sold 487 million ebooks in the past year, a decent percentage of those were free books and another big percentage were “sold” via Kindle Unlimited which is an all-you-can-read monthly subscription. So when it comes to a customer paying money to own a book, Amazon sold more print books last year. When it comes to a customer acquiring a book to read by any means then more ebooks were downloaded than print books were sold.

Note that Amazon does not disclose book sales numbers, so the figures above are estimations from various sources. According to The Small Business Blog, Amazon’s print book sales have increased significantly since 2022, with the ratio reaching three times more print books sold than ebooks by the end of 2023. This trend may be linked to changing customer behavior and preferences for physical rather than electronic reading.

Amazon’s influence on the book industry, both in print and ebook sales, is undeniable. Recent trends indicate a resurgence of print books over ebooks. Whether you prefer the tactile experience of flipping through pages or the convenience of digital reading, Amazon continues to shape the way we consume literature in the digital age. Toner Buzz reports that print books are here to stay because they “don’t cause the eye strain inherent to e-readers. How waterproof is your Kindle?

 Before proceeding, determine whether your Kindle is waterproof or not. The Kindle Oasis (9th Generation and above) and Kindle Paperwhite (10th Generation and above) are designed to be waterproof, while earlier models are not. If you own any of the above models, you will need to explore alternative methods for purchasing and downloading books, including these options:

• Upgrade to a newer Kindle model: Consider investing in a newer Kindle model, such as the Kindle Paperwhite (7th generation and newer) or the Kindle Oasis. These models continue to support direct book purchases and offer additional features and improvements.
• Purchase Kindle books on the Amazon website: Instead of purchasing books directly from the Kindle device, you can visit the Amazon Kindle website through a web browser to browse and buy books. Once purchased, the books will be delivered to your registered Kindle device automatically.

Why you can no longer purchase ebooks on some Kindle reading devices

Until recently, all Kindle e-readers allowed you to purchase books directly from the device. However, Amazon made a notable adjustment, leading to the discontinuation of this feature on certain Kindle models.

According to Amazon, the decision to withdraw this function reflects Amazon’s commitment to improving the overall user experience and adapting to changing industry standards. According to Cybernews, the termination of direct purchases on previous Kindle models is partly motivated by security concerns. Amazon has a policy of only providing security upgrades to devices for four years after the device was last available for sale. Trends among the Best Kindle Books of 2023

As is typical, the “best” books on Kindle are also happen to be the best sellers. But let’s not quibble between the differences of best and best-seller. Let’s look instead at how these titles speak to societal trends and our current, collective obsessions.

This year there are less rom-coms and thrillers than usual and more psychological thrillers, Colleen Hover, and dark romance books filling up the spots. Colleen Hoover, author of It Ends With Us, occupies no less than 9 spots in the list. While psychothriller author Freida McFadden also has a number of books on the list.

This list also features multiple books in a series: readers following characters they love over an extended narrative, with fiction from traditional publishing houses overwhelming all other genres on the list. There’s also a couple of new biographies and non-fiction perennial best sellers on the list.

2023’s top books so far suggests a lively fiction marketplace, defined by a need for escapist fare, a balance of light and dark, with a sprinkling of self-improvement. Punchy titles of 2 and 3 words make up a big chunk of the list. And while last year many covers featured the male form in varying states of undress, this year the romance novels area a bit darker and twisted and their covers tend to shy away from showing the bare-chested hunk, in favor of a brooding man. The other trend in romance covers seems to be flowers.

While escape into new passion proves to be one recurring theme, readers also seek occasional nostalgic reads. Titans of horror and fantasy also make guest appearances.

Getting started with Alexa and Kindle books

Before Alexa can read your Kindle book, make sure you have these things: 1) an Amazon account, 2) the Kindle book you want Alexa to read, 3) a device that works with Alexa like an Amazon Echo or the Alexa app on your phone.

When you are ready to listen to your book just ask Alexa to read a book that you own on Kindle. For example Alexa, read “Gate 76.” While Alexa reads, you can control the reading experience with your voice. You can ask Alexa to do things like:

• Read a specific Kindle book title
• Share more information about the book being read
• Pause, stop, or restart reading the book
• Navigate through your book by chapters, or by time intervals
• Slow down or speed up Alexa’s reading speed
• Set or cancel a timer for Alexa to stop reading

Can Alexa read any Kindle book?

Short answer, no.

Long answer…As an accessibility feature, Kindle Assistive Reader supports books that are purchased from the Kindle Store, borrowed from Kindle Unlimited or Prime Reading, or shared with you in your Family Library. Books must also support Enhanced Typesetting and be available in one of Alexa’s supported languages.

How to find eligible Kindle books for Alexa to read

To find eligible Kindle books that Alexa can read, use the Alexa mobile app. You will need to turn on Kindle Assistive Reader to view your list of supported Kindle books. Here’s how: from the Alexa mobile app, go to More > Settings > Accessibility and turn on Kindle Assistive Reader. Then, open the Alexa app and under Kindle Library, select a book from the list. Choose an available device that you want Alexa to read from.

Help, my Kindle book is not syncing with Alexa

If you’re experiencing syncing issues with books read by Alexa with Kindle Assistive Reader, don’t worry, there are steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

Alexa starts reading from the most recent page read on any device. To help set context, Alexa may start reading from the previous paragraph from your most recent page. If Kindle Assistive Reader isn’t starting from the place you last read, open the book on the Amazon device or Kindle reading app where you were last reading. Confirm that the device has internet connectivity, and then open the book manually to the furthest page read. Select the menu icon and sync the book manually to that page. Once syncing is complete, ask Alexa to play your Kindle book, and reading will pick up from that spot.

Help, Alexa is not reading my Kindle books

If you encounter any issues with Alexa not reading your Kindle books, there are a couple of things you can do:

• First, confirm that your Kindle book is supported by Kindle Assistive Reader on Alexa by asking Alexa to “Show my Kindle books” or use the Alexa app to see a full list of supported books.
• If you’ve confirmed your books are supported, unplug the power adapter from your Echo device and plug it back in.

Recycling Kindle vs Trading in a Kindle

While recycling doesn’t come with direct incentives, it’s a convenient way to declutter your home of broken devices, so long as they don’t have leaking batteries, with the satisfaction of keeping your Kindle out of landfill. Amazon also offers a Kindle trade in program which gives you credit towards future purchases with Amazon.

Whether you choose to recycle or trade in your Kindle, it’s a good idea to do a factory reset on your Kindle, to remove personal information, before sending in your device.

How to use Amazon’s Kindle trade-in program

Though other trade-in services may yield higher returns, Amazon’s program wins out for easy shipping and payment via a gift card applied directly to your account.

Here’s how the Kindle trader in program works:

1. Select item(s) to trade in:

Start from Amazon’s Trade-In page, where you can choose from a range of categories. Opening a category tab presents a list of products registered to your Amazon account. From here, select the item or items you’d like to trade in. The potential trade-in value appears beside each product.

2. Answer the qualifying questions:

Once you’ve selected your item, a questionnaire will appear to assess the condition of your device, including any cracks, damage and charge capacity. Your answers will be evaluated during the inspection process, so detail here ensures a more realistic value.

If there is an inaccurate description found, you can choose between taking a lower estimated trade-in value or having Amazon return the device to your shipping address.

3. Trade in shipping:

On completing the questionnaire, you’ll get a UPS shipping label to pack and send your device.  The prepaid label gives you 45 days to ship the package, with tracking information designated to your trade-in.

4. Wait for your trade to process:

Once the package is received, Amazon takes 10 days to evaluate and process the trade-in offer. Typically, you will receive your Amazon gift card or credit within 10 days. The credit will be applied to your account.

• Go to Your Payments -> Wallet
• On the left side you will see all your credit cards
• To update a card, click on it, then click Edit to update it
• Tap Save when you are done making edits

Two important notes about Amazon payment methods:

Earning points with the Kindle Rewards program

Kindle Rewards are given to customers who purchase Kindle books and print books. Program members earn 5 points for every dollar spent on Kindle books and 2 points for every dollar spent on a print book bought on Amazon.com. Note that you will not earn Kindle rewards for textbooks, magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, comics, or digital subscription purchases. Each qualifying book on Amazon will show how many points will be awarded for the purchase of the Kindle ebook version and the print version.

Redeeming Kindle Rewards points

After members earn 300 points, they can redeem the points for $3.00 off the price of a Kindle book. Members have six months from the date of earning the points to redeem them. Kindle Rewards points can only be used for credits towards the purchase of Kindle books. They can’t be used for other purchases on Amazon.

Becoming a member of the Kindle Rewards program

Amazon says that “participation in Kindle Rewards is free. We launched this program to reward people like you, who love to read.” However, at this point Amazon chooses who it will allow into the program. Amazon is beta-testing Kindle Rewards and during this testing period, there isn’t a way to sign up for the program – participation is invite-only for now. It’s likely that most people who own Kindle devices are invited.

How can I see my Kindle Rewards points balance?

To find out whether you’re part of the beta-testing group, head to amazon.com/kindlerewards. From there, you can see your Kindle Rewards point balance and subscribe to Kindle Rewards emails.

How to fix the white screen on your Kindle
